This is a very dangerous thing that you have to know about.

Be very selective about adult sponsor programs and investigate them
with the following questions and strategies? as a lot of them cheat you,
and you cant use cookiestuffer to intervent what they do!

I will give you one example of a sponsor that does not work, and
we might add a list of sponsors here over time.

FreakBucks.com is a sponsor where cookie stuffing will not work.

Why?

1. They use URL-tracking which means if you use your affiliate ID code
URL the reference for making a sale is in that URL only.

2. If a visitor does go to the main adult URL without your coding he
will end up at one of those traditional ENTER or LEAVE pages.

However: those pages are not mainly designed to "protect minors",
but rather discredit you as affiliate. In the case above it simply
leads with a special coded URL to their inhouse affiliate account
and you will earn nothing.

(This is especially difficult if you use pictures for picture
galleries which have the URL branded into them!)

3. Even some cookie based systems will not track your sales if
you open the raw adult site URL in the same browser.

4. If you are using a NATS based adult affiliate program, make sure
that you use the direct links offered inside the program and do not
use any deeplinks (like a link that shows up when you click on your
original affiliate link in order to link your traffic to another landing page).

5. To use a smart cloaking strategies that will not reveal the landing
URL to prevent brand bleeding (brand bleeding = the customer sees the BRAND,
i.e. the main real internet domain for a porn site) or to redirect your
clients to your own landing page and still being able to set a cookie
use this program:

MUST DO CHECK LIST FOR ADULT AFFILIATE PROGRAMS

1. Is the program cookie based?

2. Ask the affiliate manager how long the cookie lasts and what happens
if someone types in the raw URL, if it gets directed to their own inhouse
account (if they refuse to answer or give you "I dont know what you are
talking about" response, dont use them)

3. Do your own blind tests if necessary and buy a trial account access
using the strategy to open your affiliate link first then open another
tab in the same browser with the RAW URL

4. Ask for a better affiliate cut - most affiliate programs will offer
a better payout if you ask them. If they want to do that only after
send them referrals, tell them that you have enough sponsors on your list
that are willing to pay you $40 no matter what.

5. Do NOT trust what is being said on adult webmasters forums, most forums
just exist for the sole purpose of signing up webmasters for their programs
and the owners of the forums get paid for referrals. Adult forums are sometimes
helpful to find helpful people and to network, HOWEVER: you will rarely get
any real strategies or tips in the PUBLIC posts, you have to communicate
with people IN PRIVATE in order to find out the real deals and to get some
tips that actually work (remember: there is no such thing as a free lunch!)

Thanks, this is very useful. I got nice checks from adult affiliate programs (which I forgot months ago) and decided to get into adult business even more seriously in summer (if I'll have some more free time)

I'm looking forward to assist you,

I agree with successvirus that perhaps we should have a different category
for sponsors, rippoffs and affiliate programs to stay away from.

I have good experience with SilverCash. Their system looks OK and brings most profit for me from all adult programs I use.
