OK, my problems with setting up cron jobs are even more basic. I don't understand the interface for setting up the frequency. One poster says that he set the two crons to run every 4 hours and every 4 hours and 7 minutes respectively. How do you do that? I was just in the middle of setting up cron 1 to run at 1am, 3am, 5am...etc and cron 2 to run at 2am, 4am, 6am etc. I was trying to do this by setting up a cron for each time. So if each cron was going to run 6 times a day as suggested, and not at the same time, I had 12 crons to set up.
And, in my standalone installation, I have 6 domains set-up in it. The manual says never, never, never, setup exactly same cron interval for all domains. I don't even see where I can set up different crons for different domains in a standalone. Michael...the obvious newby. |

Hi,
If you are using single installation to promote MANY domains, you still need ONLY 2 cronjobs total. One cronjob for trackback_direct_1.php, and another one for trackback_direct_2.php If you are using cPanel, use Standard (Basic) cronjob settings window - it allows configuring cronjobs easily. Or you may submit support ticket with your cPanel login details, so I will setup cronjobs for you, and you will see how they should look like. -------------------- I'm looking forward to assist you,
