* AdSense for content ads: If you have less than three AdSense
for content ad units on a page, you may wish to replace the
referral ad units with standard AFC ad units.

I think they will pay no more for Firefox downloads and other stuff...

I didn't receive this email from AdSense yet. However, it will not have any effect to AdSense Money Maker powered websites. AdSense Money Maker does not use Referrals program.

The letter was not very well written and I am not sure I understand what they are saying??? Please explain.

If I understand right, AdSense will not offer getting paid for Firefox downloads, Picasa downloads, and other referrals. Affected products are listed here - https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en_US/Referrals.html
